AL East Baseball
Betting Preview 2007The AL East is always considered a juggernaut division thanks to the likes of the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox but with the emergence of teams like the Blue Jays and Orioles, this division is living up to the hype. Even the Tampa Bay Devil Rays play tough at home.
In the 2006 season, AL East teams were 213-226, -36 units against non-division rivalry teams. Holy moly! That is pretty boring isn't it?
Here is a breakdown of how they did versus each division.
| Division | Record |
| AL Central | 86-89, -16 units |
| AL West | 72-102, -38 units |
| NL Central | 0-0, --- |
| NL East | 52-32, +18 units |
| NL West | 3-3, +0 units |
You may think this means we need to avoid betting on AL East teams this year but the contrary is true. Divisions do not continue to sputting every year nor flex their muscles year in and year out. And although they can continue to win at a high percentage, they will slowly be devalued with respect to the money line. So what we mean is if these AL East teams get off to a fast start in the 2007 season, it is almost certain that they will be devalued to the point that it is better to go against them.
The only caveat to all of that this division is built on a lot of high powered offenses. And if they are a motivated home team, they will generally win the game because they will feed off of their home fans. As a home favorite off a loss, these AL East teams were a combined 75-33, +27 units last season. Talk about predicting winners at 69.4% clip. Read one of our documented motivated home favorites betting system and you will greatly improve your win percentage.
